Public Television sewing show It’s Sew Easy’s upcoming season will begin airing episodes on Public Television stations starting December 26. This, the show’s sixth season, has a special focus on classic design. Check your public broadcasting station listings for local air dates and times, or visit ItsSewEasyTv.com for station listings.
There are projects and techniques for beginning and intermediate sewers, ranging from sewing the perfect little black dress, altering pattern, and draping designs to making embroidery appliques, scarves, and handbags. You can learn to create a pillow that converts into a play mat, how to use specialty presser feet, and how to use ribbons and other trims as part of a project’s design.
It’s Sew Easy Series 600 presenters include Threads contributing editors Susan Khalje and Kenneth D. King, as well as frequent authors Linda Lee, Kathleen Cheetham, and Angela Wolf. Also featured are Peggy Sagers, Cookie Gaynor, Joanne Banko, Eileen Roche, Cindy Hogan, Amy Alan, Vanessa Vargas Wilson, Pearl Krush, Melissa Stramel, Sunni Standing,Gretchen Hirsch, Clare Rowley, and Marie Zinno.
As you may know, Threads has been an official sponsor of It’s Sew Easy since its third season, and our editors and contributing editors have been excited to demonstrate several techniques from Threads articles on the show. You can find many of the segments featuring Threads techniques on our website.
I am very excited about this show!
