This blouse was made from Kwik Sew 3555. Very simple, quick to sew. I made one change to the pattern; I made it sleeveless. I chose two places to embroider on this blouse, the inside yoke and the back collar stand. The inside yoke I embroidered before construction for ease of placement and to hide the embroidery backing. The single ladybug on the collar stand, was done after construction and my label hid the backing in this case. I wanted to use several different fabrics and wound up using 4. I cut off a measured amount of fabric from the left front so I could construct the front band with a stripe fabric on the bias. I had a ladybug fabric in my stash that I used as the inside collar stand. I used the same fabric as a bias binding for the armholes. This is so cute!
I'm impressed!
I love the way the red is an accent to black and white, and the ladybug is just too cute!!
