Explore Portland, Oregon, with PatternReview.com Enthusiasts
Join PatternReview.com on a 2-day weekend getaway from May 15th to May 17th to explore the city of Portland, Oregon. This fabric mecca was voted the “Greenest City” in the US in 2008–what better place to plan a sewer’s excursion? Portland has a great line-up of fabric stores which draws fashionistas from all around the world. It is also the home of Palmer Pletsch, and Pati Palmer will be there to support the PatternReview.com fans.
The weekend will include sewing seminars on topics such as sewing fabulous jackets, and easy ways to fit clothing properly. In addition fabric shopping excursions will be guided by local Pattern Review volunteers, followed by a fabric show-and-tell event. Fabric Depot will be among the shops visited. With 20,000 first quality, brand name fabrics in stock to choose from, visitors will feel as if they are in fabric heaven.
I can’t think of a better way to get in the mood to sew up a new wardrobe filled with great spring and summer fashions.
