Create a patternless, Japanese-inspired wrap-with a twist! In SewStylish Volume 1, we featured a brocade wide belt and included step-by-step cutting, sewing, and tying instructions. One of our first postings was a short-but-sweet video on how to tie it (Video: How to Tie a Wide Belt).

For anybody who hasn't yet grabbed that issue of SewStylish, there is a printer-friendly pdf of the article below.

After you sew, do you turn it inside out by pulling through the opening? Doesn't that turn the interfacing to the outside? And what does "slipstitch" mean??? Please help, I really need this belt -- I have a bunch of high-waisted dresses because that's how they make them these days but they totally don't work for my figure.
