I am pleased to present this heirloom dress for the Threads Magazine, 'Express Yourself in Linen' contest. This was a labour of love for my granddaughter, Daisy, when she was two years old. The first picture shows the entire dress, made in handkerchief linen. The second picture shows details of construction inside. The last picture is a close-up view of heirloom techniques used for the motifs in the bodice, sleeves and skirt. There is a picture of Daisy wearing this dress, but too many pixels to include here! I also made an heirloom sailor shirt for Daisy's twin brother, Patrick, at the same time as this dress. Thank you for the opportunity to share this special project with you, fellow sewers!
