I got your September issue of threads just as I was about to start this shirt from off white with a light brown stripe cotton fabric. WOW – there was your article “Gender Bender”, so I added stripe inserts from contrasting fabric and also lined the collar stand and cuff with the same fabric. My hidden embroidery is a brown celtic knot design inside the edge of the stand up collar and inside the cuff, which shows when the cuffs are turned back. I embroidered the collar and cuff before contructing the shirt. You timely article turned what might have been an ordinary shirt into a designer shirt!
