The Rose for Becky
comments (4) January 4th, 2010 in sewing, design, embellishments, fitting, reader's closetIt began with a picture of a rose. Once we created the rose, we had to build a skirt that would support the roses. Pearls where added to match her tiara. For fabrics we used silk mesh chiffon and silk taffeta, 27 meters total (not counting the crinoline). A traditional bouquet would have hidden the rose on the bodice so we invented the rose garland. The rose lace on the veil was taken from her mother's wedding veil.
